Direct Rail Services - Security & Resilience Development Officer (Graduate role)

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria

Hours: Full time (36.25 hours, Mon-Fri)
Salary: £27,000 per annum

IT & Business Administration Apprentice

Level 2 & 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

Level 3 IT Apprenticeship

We are recruiting Business Administration and IT Apprentices to work in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority Group and Nuclear Supply Chain. You will be employed by Energus for the duration of your apprenticeship and will undertake a range of placements within the industry. Placements can be for a period of up to 12 months and the expectation is that while you are on placement you will gain understanding of business operations that will allow you to acquire and apply skills, knowledge and understanding to enable you to progress your career to skills shortage areas such as:

  • Project Management

L4 Cyber Security Apprentice

Commencing September 2018

We are recruiting Cyber Security Apprentices to work in a fast paced and growing sector.

Role Profile: Cyber Security Apprentice – Level 4

The primary role of a Cyber Security Professional is to apply an understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures and mitigation to protect organisations and people.

Those focused on the technical side will work on areas such as security design and architecture, security testing, investigations & response. Those focused on the risk analysis side work on areas such as operations, risk, governance and compliance. Whether focused on the technical or risk analysis side all people in this occupation work to achieve required security outcomes in a legal and regulatory context. You will develop and apply practical knowledge in information security to deliver solutions that fulfil organisations requirements.

You will work to detect breaches in network security for escalation to incident response. You will typically use a range of automated tools to monitor networks in real time. You will understand and interpret the alerts that are automatically generated by those tools including integrating and correlating information from a variety of sources.

Location: UK Wide

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri)

Salary: £26,000 per annum, plus £1,000 joining bonus

Energus is a training and conference facility based in West Cumbria. We facilitate Graduate and Apprenticeship Programmes on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and the wider nuclear industry. These programmes are delivered nationally. Energus have 10 years’ experience managing Graduate and Apprenticeship Programmes across the UK. We address skills shortages across the nuclear industry and ensure a continuous pipeline of talent into the industry.
