TRAINING & EDUCATION PARTNERS
ENERGUS does not deliver training or education in its own right, but works in close partnership with established organisations to provide a range of high quality training and education solutions to support the skills development of West Cumbria and the Energy Coast.
University of Cumbria
The University of Cumbria (UoC) has established its Learning Gateway West within ENERGUS as the first stage in its development of a campus on the Energy Coast.
Delivery of courses commenced in summer 2009 and they aim to have up to 250 equivalent full time students using their facilities, predominantly in the engineering and Business faculties, within 3 years.
The University facilities are available to all West Cumbrian students enrolled with UoC, regardless of their course of study or home campus.

GEN II Engineering & Technology Training

The GEN II apprenticeships cover the areas of electrical and instrumentation, fabrication, mechanical engineering, nuclear worker and scientific and process. At then end of their first year of training the apprentices continue their training with local employers.
