GEN II

GEN II are the largest provider of training to the Civil Nuclear Sector in the UK and drawing on more than 50 years in the nuclear industry, GEN II work closely with organisations and GEN II partners (Sellafield Ltd, Amec, Innovia Films, Iggesund Paperboard and Tata Steel) to develop the new skills and qualifications for those joining the industry, as well as re-skilling of the present workforce. The company currently employs over 95 staff operating from 4 locations across Cumbria, including the World Class facilities offered at ENERGUS.

GEN II are the first education and training provider in the UK to be awarded the Training Quality Standard (TQS) with excellence in Nuclear and Engineering and are also an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Grade 1 training provider.

GEN II delivers a wide range of bespoke training courses, apprenticeships and higher-education programmes covering a spectrum of technology-related disciplines including.  Training delivered within ENERGUS includes apprenticeships, advanced apprenticeship, foundation degrees, BTEC qualifications and a suite of commercial training courses.  The courses are designed with close employer engagement to meet specific skills requirements, are fully-accredited by appropriate professional bodies and range from Entry level through Foundation Degrees to Masters level (QCF Levels 2 – 7).

GEN II and ENERGUS are the joint venture companies within Nucleus which brings together the world class training facilities of the ENERGUS with the world class training provision of GEN II.
