Britain’s Energy Coast Campus
Britain’s Energy Coast Campus was set up in 2009 between Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and University of Cumbria to develop an inter institutional training, education and research offering to help create the workforce able to realise the Energy Coast economic blue print for West Cumbria.
With a 5 year programme pump primed with £10m investment support from NDA, around £100m is being invested in a 5 year programme to develop capacity and capability including , Dalton Cumbria Facility (university of Manchester), Britain’s Energy Coast Construction Skills Centre, student accommodation, Centre for Nuclear Reactor Operation Training, and possibly the Energy Coast University Technical College.
Britain’s Energy Coast Campus has its office base in Energus and so is co located with two of the main partners in University of Cumbria and GEN II as well as its close collaboration with Centre for Leadership Performance.
