About Energus

ENERGUS is a state of the art training and conferencing centre standing on a seven-acre site in Lillyhall, Workington, along Britain’s Energy Coast™.

Opened in 2009, at a cost £21.5Million, ENERGUS has become established as a Centre of Excellence for skills training, education and business support.

The three main activities undertaken within ENERGUS are:

• The delivery of training and education across the educational spectrum
• Events Management and Conference hire enabling the hosting of regional, national and international focused conferences
• Encouraging enterprise and providing business support within Cumbria and innovation within the nuclear sector.

Since opening in 2009 ENERGUS has provided a well equipped, modern facility which has enabled the training of more than 350 apprentices, hundreds of higher education and degree level students and supported many more educational events aimed at business. ENERGUS have also played host to high profile award ceremonies, business dinners, conferences and exhibitions and as well as supporting career conventions and educational events.
